Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Engage in complex medication distribution processes.
• Take on additional departmental responsibilities as needed.
• Function in specialized areas of responsibility within the pharmacy.
• Train and orient new co-workers.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for automated pharmacy technology and associated software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent exam.
• Current State Technician license in good standing.
• 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated advanced knowledge and use of pharmacy equipment, including robotic dispensing equipment and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Mastery of pharmacy dispensing and standard compounding procedures.
• Proficiency with pharmacy automation technology systems and workflow management.
• Competence in patient and customer contact points.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electronic health record systems and pharmacy information software.
• Ability to float to other pharmacies and locations as needed.
