Responsibilities

  • Accurately perform pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a pharmacy technician expert for specialized workflow processes and environments.
  • Take on specialized duties and leadership roles as assigned by the pharmacy management team.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide guidance and training to less experienced pharmacy technicians.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Active status as a Certified Pharmacy Technician credentialed by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
  • At least 5 years of pharmacy technician experience in a health system setting required.
  • Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four or more years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • Supervisor or leadership experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves
