About the position

This is a full-time position at Bayshore Pharmacy located in Suttons Bay, MI, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The role of a Pharmacy Technician involves various responsibilities that are crucial for the smooth operation of the pharmacy. The technician will be involved in prescription order entry, maintaining patient records, and managing inventory. The Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be expected to obtain their Pharmacy Technician license within one year of hire, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary legal knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively. The training will include web-based learning and hands-on experience, allowing the trainee to gain a comprehensive understanding of the pharmacy's daily functions and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescription order entry accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Manage inventory and assist in stock management.
• Learn and adhere to legal requirements of pharmacy practice.
• Assist licensed Pharmacists in daily operations.

Requirements

• State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician Licensure (or must be obtained within 1 year for trainees).
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience required.
