As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will be trained to follow department processes and procedures, input information accurately, dispense medication, and verify prescriptions. You will also assist with inventory management, ensuring that the pharmacy is well-stocked and organized. Your attention to detail and ability to handle products safely will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Process prescription requests while building trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion
  • Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers
  • Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information
  • Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
  • Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices

Requirements

  • Computer skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in order to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
  • State specific - may require Pharmacy Technician certification
  • New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience ordering products and controlling inventory
  • Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Pharmacy Technician - Certification
