About the position

As a Pharmacy/Tech Trainee at Smith's Food and Drug, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians operating within a highly automated distribution center pharmacy. This role is essential in supporting the pharmacy operations for Kroger store pharmacies across multiple states. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing orders for pharmacist review, packaging, shipping, and managing inventory control. You may also assist with order shipping as needed, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders for pharmacist review
  • Package and ship orders
  • Manage inventory control
  • Assist with order shipping as needed
  • Perform tasks associated with general production
  • Maintain clean and organized work stations
  • Follow policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and security
  • Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Support company Health and Wellness initiatives

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass mandatory FBI/BCI background checks

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment
  • Experience with automation canister product replenishments
  • Ability to unpack and sort incoming deliveries of product
  • Experience sorting orders and preparing totes for store delivery
  • Experience packing individual orders for shipment
  • Familiarity with preparing orders for pharmacist review using manual and automated processes
