About the position

As a Pharmacy Technician at the Genoa mental health pharmacy, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Your primary responsibilities will include dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position is full-time, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and rotating weekends every seventh weekend from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. You will be located at 800 Transfer Rd., Suite 1A, Saint Paul, MN, within the Transfer Road Commerce Center. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff, fill prescription orders, and make them available for verification. You will also be responsible for ordering, receiving, and storing pharmacy supplies, processing wholesaler medication orders, and maintaining inventory records. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you will be interacting with various stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist the pharmacist in ensuring the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and perform various clerical duties as assigned. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicate effectively using strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota

Nice-to-haves

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
