About the position

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking an Intermediate Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Located in Chandler, Arizona, this 338-bed not-for-profit hospital has been serving the community for over 50 years and is part of the Dignity Health system. The Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to perform pharmacy-related functions in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as department policies and procedures. This role is crucial in providing optimal pharmaceutical care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and be able to communicate effectively with both pharmacy staff and healthcare providers. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and a dedication to patient care, ensuring that all pharmacy services are delivered efficiently and accurately. The Pharmacy Technician will also be involved in various tasks such as medication preparation, inventory management, and assisting with patient inquiries regarding medications. This is a part-time position with a pay range of $18.83 to $25.89 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pharmacy-related functions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and department policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy or related experience or a graduate of a certified pharmacy technology program.
  • Arizona Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Typing speed of 35 wpm.
  • Basic CRT knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Knowledge of drug names and basic math.
