We are looking for technicians of all levels, including Certified Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technician Trainees. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to help our customers live healthier lives. You will be responsible for treating customers and employees fairly and ethically, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and providing the right products and services at the right time. Your essential job functions will include complying with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining departmental standards, managing inventory, answering phone inquiries, promoting sales, and ensuring a stellar customer experience. This position requires you to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to help customers live healthier lives.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation regulations according to company and health code regulations.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
  • Manage computerized inventory control and ordering of non-legend drugs.
  • Complete inventory control tasks, including shelf maintenance.
  • Answer phone inquiries and triage calls appropriately.
  • Promote sales and services to customers and store associates.
  • Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons and managing cash shortages.
  • Operate the cash register and follow cashier handling policies to prevent loss.
  • Provide accurate and efficient product dispensing to patients, if allowable by state law.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient information.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Customer service experience
  • Pharmacy technician experience (entry level)
  • Cash register experience
  • Inventory control experience in a retail environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
  • Experience with phone triage
  • Experience with pharmacy technician certification
