About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Samaritan Health Services assists pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities, performing a variety of technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of the Elm Street Pharmacy, which serves the community by dispensing prescriptions and providing various patient care services.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in medication preparation and labeling activities.
• Perform technical support functions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Dispense community patient prescriptions.
• Offer immunizations and medication management services.
• Participate in medication assistance programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required or eligible.
• Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician license required within two (2) years of hire.
• Successful completion of Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred.
• Experience and/or training as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
