About the position

As a Pharmacy Tech at Northwest Medical Oro Valley, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our patients. This full-time position is essential in ensuring that the pharmacy operates smoothly and efficiently under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will be responsible for compounding and dispensing medical prescriptions, which is a critical function in the healthcare delivery system. In addition to these primary duties, you may also be expected to perform related clerical tasks, which can include receiving and storing incoming supplies, verifying stock, and entering data into the computer to maintain accurate inventory records. Your role will require you to rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish your goals effectively. Responsibilities

  • Compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Performs related clerical duties as needed.
  • Receives and stores incoming supplies.
  • Verifies stock and enters data in the computer to maintain inventory records.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • 0-3 years of clinical experience in a related field.
  • May be expected to meet certain state certifications.
