About the position

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist.
• Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders.
• Manage the drug distribution system.
• Provide technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Requirements

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Prior hospital experience preferred
