Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to help customers live healthier lives.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards according to company and health regulations.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, making them feel important and appreciated.
  • Maintain departmental standards, including cleanliness and organization of workstations and waiting areas.
  • Manage computerized inventory control and ordering of non-legend drugs.
  • Complete inventory control tasks, including shelf maintenance and product organization.
  • Answer phone inquiries and triage calls appropriately.
  • Promote sales and services to customers and store associates.
  • Adhere to guidelines for accepting vendor coupons and managing cash shortages.
  • Operate the cash register and follow policies to prevent loss during transactions.
  • Provide accurate and efficient product dispensing to patients, following state law regulations.
  • Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Customer service experience
  • Pharmacy technician experience (preferred)
  • Cash register experience (preferred)
  • Inventory control experience in a retail environment (preferred)

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
  • Experience with phone triage and customer inquiries
