About the position

Genoa Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the functions of our mental health and specialty pharmacy. This position is not just about dispensing medications; it is about being part of a collaborative effort to serve the behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring that patients receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to the pharmacy's operations. Your primary duties will include filling prescription orders, verifying medication stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will also be involved in ordering, receiving, and storing pharmacy supplies, as well as performing clerical duties that support the department. Exceptional customer service is a key component of this position, as you will interact with consumers and clinic staff, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care. The work environment is structured, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, located at 122 Wabasha Street South, St. Paul, MN 55107. Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
  • Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Work with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keep the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Minnesota
  • 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Access to reliable transportation

Nice-to-haves

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Bilingual (Hmong & Karen preferably)
