As a part-time Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the operation of our Pharmacy Department, ensuring that we meet and exceed customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include the timely preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality care and customer service. You will be dedicated to achieving colleague satisfaction and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible pharmaceutical care. In this role, you will ensure the prompt distribution of drugs and other pharmaceuticals to patients or caregivers. You will also be responsible for reviewing inventory to ensure that medications are properly stored, controlled, and rotated. Processing pharmacy charges accurately is essential, as you will ensure that medications and supplies are properly charged or credited to each patient's account. Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for inquiries, answering telephones and assisting at the customer window, routing requests as necessary. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation of the Pharmacy Department to meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure timely medication preparation, labeling, and delivery.
  • Distribute drugs and pharmaceuticals promptly to patients or caregivers.
  • Review inventory to ensure proper storage, control, and rotation of medications.
  • Process pharmacy charges accurately for medications and supplies.
  • Answer telephones and assist at the customer window, routing requests accordingly.

Requirements

  • Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Licensure: Current Indiana licensure as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Tech in Training with licensure within one year. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
  • Experience: Two years hospital/institutional pharmacy experience preferred.
