About the position

The Pharmacy Technician Billing Tech position at Critical Care Rx involves managing billing processes for long-term care pharmacy services. The role is integral to the healthcare team, ensuring quality care and service to facilities, which helps maintain residents' optimum quality of life. The technician will report directly to the Billing Director and handle various billing inquiries and processes related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Billing Director.
• Answer and initiate phone calls regarding general billing questions related to Medicare Part D, Hospice, Medicare Part A, Managed Care, Medicaid, and Payments.
• Manage electronic billing adjudication processes, including communication with insurance companies regarding rejects, eligibility, prior authorizations, or other issues.
• Conduct census reviews and updates, Medicare and Managed Care rebills, and split bills.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in private pay, third party, Medicare Part A, Managed Care, Hospice, and Medicaid billing processes.
• Long-Term Care Billing experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products.
• Must have a Missouri Pharmacy Tech license.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in pharmacy billing for at least 3 years.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for at least 3 years.
