About the position
Walmart is hiring Pharmacy Technicians for its Central Fill location in Plainfield, Indiana. This specialized pharmacy focuses on processing and dispensing prescriptions for multiple retail locations, utilizing automation to ensure fast and accurate service. Although not directly patient-facing, the role supports retail pharmacies in providing clinical services and education to their communities. Candidates must meet state requirements and hold a valid Pharmacy Technician license in Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Maintain pharmacy systems and technology, ensuring accurate data and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates for pharmaceuticals, calibrating machines and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Sort, place, and store freight in appropriate locations, ensuring stock rotation and reporting low stock levels.
- Enter and modify pharmaceutical data, process paperwork, and create documentation to support productivity and pharmaceutical integrity.
- Assist in the prescription fulfillment process, ensuring medications are accurately prepared and labeled for distribution.
- Utilize automated inventory control systems to track and ensure timely delivery and stocking of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Audit and test pill cell performance, manage databases, and process hazardous waste and expired pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
- Must meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age and valid Pharmacy Technician license in Indiana.
