About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center is responsible for assisting with the order entry, preparation, and distribution of drug products under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This role involves maintaining appropriate inventory levels of drug supplies and ensuring proper accounting for their distribution, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with order entry preparation and distribution of drug products under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of drug supplies.
• Implement a system of control to ensure the integrity of purchases and proper accounting for distribution.

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician certification required.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum one (1) year of Pharmacy experience preferred, including preparation of IV solutions.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification through formal program preferred.
