About the position
The Pharmacy Technician, Clinical/MTM position at Molina Healthcare is focused on ensuring that members have access to Medicare Star medications while promoting their safe and cost-effective use. This role involves creating, operating, and monitoring pharmacy benefit programs in compliance with federal and state laws, and includes responsibilities in formulary management, clinical pharmacy services, and oversight of medication use policies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Molina pharmacist on medication adherence and provide follow-up on identified adherence barriers.
- Perform outreach to member, prescriber and/or pharmacy as needed.
- Participate in the development/administration of programs designed to enhance the utilization of targeted drugs and identify cost-saving pharmacy practices.
- Identify and report departmental operational issues and resource needs to appropriate management.
- Assist Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and health plan providers in resolving member prescription claim, prior authorization, or pharmacy services access issues.
- Articulate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers, other Molina staff and others as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification
Nice-to-haves
- Associate's Degree
- 3+ years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
