About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations within a mental health setting. This position involves dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The technician will also provide exceptional customer service to clinic staff and patients, contributing to the overall mission of improving health outcomes for individuals with complex health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Georgia
• Access to reliable transportation

Nice-to-haves

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
