As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include assisting in drug preparation, storage, distribution, and inventory management, all under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. You will also be involved in the required record-keeping processes and will have the opportunity to aseptically compound parenteral admixtures. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care and medication management. Avera offers a competitive pay structure, with an hourly rate ranging from $18.50 to $25.75, depending on your experience. Additionally, we provide a $4,000 sign-on bonus, which will be paid out over 24 months. Responsibilities

• Assist in drug preparation, storage, distribution, and inventory management under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Aseptically compound parenteral admixtures as required.
• Maintain accurate records related to drug inventory and distribution.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to provide patient care.
• Provide compassionate services directly to patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Vocational Technical program preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board required.
• Registration with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of employment.
