About the position

The Pharmacy Technician II - Specialty Pharmacy Tech II - Medication Prior Authorization Specialist at MaineHealth Corporate is responsible for supporting pharmacists in the outpatient pharmacy setting. This role requires proficiency in core pharmacy functions such as data entry, prescription adjudication, and bedside delivery, ensuring efficient medication management and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in the outpatient pharmacy by performing data entry and prescription adjudication.
• Deliver medications to patients at their bedside.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all essential functions of a Pharmacy Technician I role.
• Support the medication prior authorization process as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• CPhT or PTCB certificate preferred.
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a healthcare or related environment required.
