About the position
The Pharmacy Technician II at University of Utah Health plays a crucial role in delivering clinical pharmacy services, ensuring proper stock levels, and assisting pharmacists with advanced tasks. This position involves compounding, preparing, and delivering pharmaceuticals, as well as providing customer service and training for other staff. The role requires a higher level of responsibility, including IV therapy and narcotic coordination, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in advanced tasks associated with patient care.
- Effectively manage supplies of the department.
- Problem solves operational issues within the department and organization related to the medication use process.
- Assists in education and training of staff and other trainees.
Requirements
- 6 months experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
- Current Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Utah.
