The Pharmacy Technician Inpatient role at Henry Ford Providence Hospitals involves providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support to pharmacists. The position requires maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, managing inventory, and serving as a liaison between pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare professionals. This full-time position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including day, afternoon, and occasional midnight shifts, with weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist.
• Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
• Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the Pharmacy department.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
• Repackage bulk medications.
• Receive and store incoming supplies.
• Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patients, and health professionals.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or an Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
