About The Position
The position involves performing medication reconciliation per pharmacy policy for new admits to hospital departments, excluding the Emergency Department (ED). After completing medication reconciliation, the individual will assist the retail pharmacy as a pharmacy technician. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications for various routes of administration, mixing IV admixture solutions using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow hood, typing labels, preparing and filing charge slips, and performing other related duties. All tasks are performed under the auspices of the pharmacist's license.
