The Pharmacy Technician at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City South plays a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications. Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications.
• Follow applicable standards and federal, state, and local laws and regulations for patient care and safety.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and use of pharmacy equipment, including robotic dispensing equipment and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Operate pharmacy automation technology systems and manage workflow effectively.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for automated pharmacy technology and associated software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent exam.
• Actively registered with the Oklahoma Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or willing to apply by the first day of work.
• 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred for Tech I; required for Tech II.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for Tech II.
