About the position

The Pharmacy Technician position at Froedtert Health involves providing technical and clerical support to pharmacists in managing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy. The role requires adherence to Wisconsin pharmacy regulations and includes responsibilities such as procuring, measuring, compounding, counting, and delivering medications under pharmacist supervision. This is an on-site position located at the Harbor Town Campus in Manitowoc, WI, with a sign-on bonus of $5,000.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in processing medication orders.
• Monitor drug therapy under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications as required.
• Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code related to pharmacy practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required within 6 months of hire.
