About the position

The Pharmacy Technician Per Diem position at CVS Health offers a unique opportunity for individuals with limited availability to contribute meaningfully to the pharmacy team. This role focuses on ensuring medication needs are met while adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Pharmacy Technicians in this position are expected to manage various pharmacy workstations, support the timely and accurate filling of prescriptions, and provide exceptional customer service, all while maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to help manage and improve patient health, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential problems to ensure timely medication access for customers.
• Follow workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across various workstations.
• Manage basic inventory tasks as directed by pharmacy leadership, including drug deliveries and cycle counts.
• Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing feedback and seeking opportunities for improvement.
• Comply with applicable Federal and State laws and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Deliver additional patient health care services as allowable by law, including immunizations.

Requirements

• Active Pharmacy Technician license with limited availability.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED) required.
• Reliable attendance when scheduled.
• Strong attention and focus to complete tasks without distraction.
• Excellent customer service and team orientation skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Mathematical reasoning skills for prescription calculations.
• Problem resolution skills to address complex situations.
