As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in transforming the pharmacy experience from a transaction-based environment to a more patient-centric one. In this role, you will assist the pharmacist under direct supervision, performing various pharmacy department duties in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations. You will be responsible for utilizing pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accurate data entry. If you are PTCB certified, you will also have the opportunity to coach other pharmacy technicians and cashiers in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers. Your primary focus will be on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging with customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices in customer service. You will also assist in the operational aspects of the pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy environment. This position requires adherence to the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct and involves reporting any prescription errors to the pharmacist. Additionally, you will be involved in training and personal development, earning and maintaining your PTCB certification and acquiring continuing education credits to stay updated on the latest developments in healthcare and pharmacy.
