In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in various tasks, including processing prescriptions, managing patient information, and providing excellent customer service. You will engage with customers, helping them find the products and services they need, and resolving any issues they may encounter. The position emphasizes a patient-centric approach, moving away from traditional transaction-based interactions to building strong relationships with customers. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Assist in filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Assist in inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Assist pharmacists in administering clinical services as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy department.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to assist pharmacists in various pharmacy duties.
• Basic computer skills to operate pharmacy systems.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
