In this role, you will assist pharmacists under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while performing various pharmacy duties. You will also engage with customers, providing assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Assist in scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment and ensure adequate supplies are stocked.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including collecting and labeling samples from patients.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the local medical community.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to assist pharmacists in various pharmacy duties and customer service.
• Willingness to participate in training and maintain PTCB certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
