Your daily responsibilities will involve interacting with customers, assisting them with their needs, and building strong relationships to enhance their healthcare experience. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will assist pharmacists in various tasks, including inventory management and clinical services, while adhering to company policies and procedures. The role emphasizes customer service, requiring you to engage with patients, resolve issues, and provide a delightful experience. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Assist in scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist immediately and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to assist pharmacists in various pharmacy duties in accordance with company policies.
• Basic computer skills to operate pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
