As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in transforming the pharmacy experience from a transaction-based environment to a patient-centric one. This position places you at the forefront of customer interaction, allowing you to develop strong relationships with patients while providing essential pharmacy services. Walgreens is committed to investing in your career through its "earn while you learn" Pharmacy Technician Training Program, which is recognized by the ASHP and the Department of Labor. In your role, you will assist the pharmacist under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and coach other pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems. Your commitment to delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience will be paramount, as you engage with customers, resolve issues, and model best practices in customer service.
