In this role, you will assist pharmacists under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while performing various pharmacy duties. You will also engage with customers, providing assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. The position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence, including adherence to the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct. You will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting with clinical services, and developing relationships with local healthcare providers. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Assist in inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist pharmacists in administering clinical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the local medical community.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to assist in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Strong communication skills to engage with customers and resolve issues effectively.
• Detail-oriented with good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Basic computer skills for operating pharmacy systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
