In this role, you will assist pharmacists in various tasks, including processing prescriptions, managing patient information, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also engage with customers, providing them with assistance and resolving any issues they may encounter. The position requires a detail-oriented and compassionate individual who can effectively communicate and build rapport with patients. You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, filling prescriptions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies regarding pharmacy errors.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Assist in inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies and is clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurately filling prescriptions.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
