In this role, you will assist the pharmacist under direct supervision, performing various pharmacy duties in compliance with state and federal regulations. Your responsibilities will include using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and coaching other pharmacy technicians if you are PTCB certified. You will also be responsible for delivering a distinctive customer experience by engaging with customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices in customer service. Your operational duties will involve entering patient and drug information accurately, filling prescriptions, and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy. Additionally, you will assist in inventory management, handle clerical duties, and support the pharmacy team in clinical services. This position requires a commitment to ongoing training and personal development, including earning and maintaining PTCB certification and completing continuing education credits. Through the Walgreens pharmacy technician apprenticeship program, you will also earn college credit hours recognized by the American Council on Education (ACE).
