As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in transforming the pharmacy experience from a transaction-based environment to a more patient-centric one. In this role, you will assist the pharmacist under direct supervision, performing various pharmacy department duties in compliance with state and federal regulations. Your responsibilities will include using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and coaching other pharmacy technicians if you are PTCB certified. You will also be responsible for delivering a distinctive customer experience by engaging with customers, resolving issues, and modeling best practices in customer service. Your interactions will help foster strong relationships with our most valuable customers, ensuring their needs are met with care and professionalism. Operationally, you will assist in the pharmacy's daily functions, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and maintaining workflow. You will report any prescription errors to the pharmacist and adhere strictly to company policies regarding dispensing activities. Additionally, you will handle cash transactions, assist customers in locating products, and manage telephone calls that do not require the pharmacist's attention.
