In this role, you will assist pharmacists under direct supervision, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while performing various pharmacy duties. Your responsibilities will include using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and coaching other pharmacy technicians if you are PTCB certified. You will also engage with customers, providing assistance and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. The position requires a commitment to customer service excellence, as you will model best practices and develop strong relationships with valued customers. Additionally, you will be involved in operational tasks such as entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, and managing inventory. You will also assist in clinical services, maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment, and support the Pharmacy Manager in building relationships with the local medical community. Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Model and share customer service best practices with team members.
• Assist in filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately.
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register and handle cash as required.
• Assist in inventory management activities, including ordering and unpacking pharmaceuticals.
• Assist in administering clinical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples.
• Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy environment.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to assist pharmacists in various pharmacy duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in filling prescriptions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
