About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy's operations, primarily focused on dispensing medical prescriptions and performing clerical duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. This position is integral to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with health regulations while working within a collaborative care team dedicated to serving individuals with mental health and addiction treatment needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data input to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Access to reliable transportation

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ months of experience working as Pharmacy Technician
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Immunization Certified
