About the position

The Pharmacy Technician/Technician-in-Training position at CPS Solutions, LLC, located at the Montana State Hospital, involves working in a centralized hospital pharmacy that supports multiple facilities. The role includes assisting with billing and processing third-party and Medicare/Medicaid contracts, under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. Responsibilities include processing physician orders, preparing and delivering medications, and maintaining pharmacy standards and regulatory compliance. This is a per diem position requiring work every other weekend and occasional weekdays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with billing and processing third-party and Medicare/Medicaid contracts.
  • Process physician orders under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
  • Prepare, deliver, and restock medications using Parata automation dispensing system and TouchPoint automated dispensing cabinets.
  • Perform charge capture, returns/credits, and IV preparation.
  • Refill emergency kits and crash carts, and manage barcode and prepack tasks.
  • Answer the telephone and troubleshoot pharmacy-related inquiries.
  • Drive an automobile for purchases or to assist with supply pick-up and delivery as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • State of Montana Pharmacy Technician license in good standing or a Pharmacy Technician in training license.
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including some billing responsibilities (willing to train).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle (MVR) background check.
  • Demonstrated initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with QS/1 Prime Care software for processing physician orders and billing.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
