The Pharmacy Technician in Training at Rite Aid plays a crucial role in supporting the health and wellness of the community by assisting in the pharmacy operations. Responsibilities
- Enter prescription information including patient searches, prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
- Accept customer and prescription information for new and refill prescriptions.
- Retrieve medication from inventory and create prescription labels.
- Place medication into prescription containers and complete related paperwork.
- Input customer and prescription data into the computer system.
- Assist in maintaining the Pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.
- Manage inventory processes including order review and restocking shelves.
- Administer Rite Aid programs such as FlavoRx and Living More.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
