About the position

Genoa Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the functions of our mental health and specialty pharmacy. This position is not just about dispensing medications; it is about being part of a collaborative effort to serve the behavioral health and addiction treatment communities. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, ensuring that patients with serious mental or chronic illnesses receive the right medications and follow their treatment plans effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for filling prescription orders, verifying medication stock, and maintaining accurate inventory records. You will also handle incoming pharmacy supplies and assist in various clerical duties to keep the pharmacy compliant with federal and state regulations. Exceptional customer service is a key component of this position, as you will interact with consumers and clinic staff, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care. Your contributions will be vital in creating a supportive environment for those we serve, making a real difference in their lives. The position is located at 620 N Craycroft Road, Suite P, Tucson, AZ 85711, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a lunch break from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Active and Unrestricted Arizona State Board of Pharmacy License
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 6+ months of previous pharmacy technician experience
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license
