About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Wagg Veterinary Corp. In this role, you will support the pharmacy's daily operations by assisting with medication preparation, inventory management, and providing excellent patient care. The position is based in a mail-order veterinary pharmacy with no foot traffic, and all customer interactions are conducted via phone or email. The work environment is supportive and family-like, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Data entry, filling/dispensing, labeling and packaging prescriptions
- Processing prescription refill requests
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and questions
- Shipping packages and coordinating pickups
- Assisting pharmacist with inventory, recordkeeping and other pharmacy operations
- Organizing/stocking inventory
- Removing and quarantining expired inventory from shelves
- Maintaining/updating patient profiles
- Maintaining assigned work areas and keeping equipment in clean and orderly condition
- Assisting with facilities management as needed
- Ordering pharmacy & facility supplies and organizing them
Requirements
- Licensed with CA State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (Nice to have)
- Familiarity with medication administration processes and calculations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task
