About the position

The Pharmacy Technician role at Kroger involves providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention to promote health and wellness. The position requires adherence to state and federal laws while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for customers and employees. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to help customers live healthier lives.
• Deliver direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services as permitted by law.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Understand and follow company guidelines on cash register operations and cashier handling policies.
• Answer phone calls, triage inquiries, and provide appropriate responses.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value for customers and the company.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using best practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meets minimum state requirements for the position.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems.
• Support for company health and wellness initiatives.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Experience in cash register operations and handling electronic fund transactions.
