About the position
The Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position involves managing pharmacy workstations, accurately filling prescriptions, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions accurately and promptly.
- Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times.
- Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to state guidelines.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or be actively enrolled in a high school equivalency program.
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements, including age and licensure/certification.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to assist customers in a friendly manner.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions.
- Problem resolution skills to identify and address issues as they arise.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- PTCB National Certification.
