About the position

The Pharmacy Technician role at UnitedRx involves supporting the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care facilities. The technician will work under the supervision of a pharmacist to fill drug orders, process returned drugs, and assist in medication management. This full-time position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and offers a competitive benefits package along with a sign-on bonus for certified technicians.

Responsibilities

• Fills daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assists in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose of per procedure.
• Reviews facility pre-list and prepares 30-day cards with the appropriate drug for the full fill.
• Assists in pre-packing frequently ordered medications, labels, and stores as needed during low volume times.
• Packages materials and products manually.
• Determines that the correct packing materials are available at the packing station.
• Applies labels according to directions.
• Follows all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Licensed KS tech preferred.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Cycle fill experience is a plus.
