About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health plays a crucial role in delivering compassionate care to patients while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. This position involves managing pharmacy workstations, filling prescriptions accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. Pharmacy Technicians are integral to the healthcare team, supporting patient access to care and contributing to the overall mission of improving health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly and accurately.
• Provide caring service that exceeds customer expectations.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct at all times.
• Complete the CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing, and certification requirements according to State Board of Pharmacy guidelines.

Requirements

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing pharmacy practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
• Must be at least 16 years of age if no minimum age requirement is mandated by the state board of pharmacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program.
• Ability to concentrate on tasks without distraction.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to assist customers in a friendly manner.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions.
• Problem resolution skills to identify and address issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• PTCB National Certification.
