About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Genoa Healthcare plays a crucial role in supporting the functions of a mental health and specialty pharmacy. This position involves dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and providing exceptional customer service under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The technician will work collaboratively with a coordinated care team to ensure that patients receive the right medications and adhere to their treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
• Fill prescription orders and make them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Order, receive, and store incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receive and process wholesaler medication orders
• Verify medication stock and enter data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Work with the Pharmacist to assist in pharmacy functions and ensure compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Perform various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicate with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California
• Access to reliable transportation

Nice-to-haves

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
• Bilingual Spanish
