About the position

The Pharmacy Technician at Kroger is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention in a pharmacy setting. This role involves ensuring a safe and inclusive environment while adhering to state and federal regulations. The technician will assist pharmacists, manage inventory, and support health and wellness initiatives, all while embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment in the pharmacy.
• Provide direct patient intervention and health and wellness services as allowed by law.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure best value for customers and the company.
• Answer phone calls and triage inquiries appropriately.
• Understand and follow guidelines for accepting vendor coupons and handling cash transactions.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform pharmacy functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy clerk is preferred.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems is a plus.
