About the position
The Pharmacy Technician position at Smith's Food and Drug involves providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention to promote health and wellness. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers and employees.
- Deliver health and wellness services relevant to patients as allowed by law.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and customer areas.
- Perform ordering functions with wholesalers and manage inventory effectively.
- Prepare specified products using company best practices.
- Complete billing procedures to ensure value for customers and the company.
- Answer phone inquiries and triage calls appropriately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Meets minimum state requirements for pharmacy functions.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or as a pharmacy clerk is preferred.
- Familiarity with EPRN systems is a plus.
