About the position

The Pharmacy Technician role at Kroger involves providing exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention to promote health and wellness. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to help customers live healthier lives.
• Provide direct patient intervention by offering health and wellness services.
• Assist pharmacists in all responsibilities except those requiring professional judgment.
• Accurately complete reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
• Understand and follow company guidelines on cash register operations and cashier handling policies.
• Answer phone calls and triage inquiries appropriately.
• Complete billing procedures to ensure best value for customers and the company.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified products using best practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform pharmacy functions.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.

Nice-to-haves

• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• Previous comparable experience in a pharmacy setting.
• Familiarity with EPRN systems.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and company policies.
